Sophie Williams, Danielle Esposito, Sophie Savas-Carstens - May 2017 Judges' Choice

Sophie Williams - Since graduating from Ballet Arte, under the direction of Sara Viale and Erlend Zieminch, I attended Miami City Ballet's Pre-Professional II Division from 2014-15. At Miami City Ballet, I had the opportunity to dance in Balanchine's Western Symphony, and Theme and Variations, along with Chopiniana. In 2015, I joined Silicon Valley Ballet as a trainee, where I performed Alicia Alonso's Giselle, and Karen Gabay's The Nutcracker. For the 2016-17 season, I accepted a contract with Oklahoma City Ballet, under the direction of Robert Mills, as an apprentice. With Oklahoma City Ballet I danced Serenade, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Danielle Esposito - I am currently dancing at the School of American Ballet.

Sophie Savas-Carstens - I've been continuing training at my home studio, Ballet Arte, in San Diego. And I am currently preparing to dance the roles of Nikiya, and Gamzatti in our spring performance, La Bayadere. I have additionally had the opportunity to dance the roles of Odette in Swan Lake, Sugar Plum in Nutcracker, and many other ballets with Ballet Arte. The past few years I have attended summer courses with the School of American Ballet (2014), and San Francisco Ballet (2015).

Sophie Williams - I am currently training for World Ballet Competition this coming June. I also competed in YAGP last year, and placed 3rd in the Senior Women semi-finals.

Sophie Savas-Carstens - I recently attended the YAGP NYC Finals in April, and I placed 2nd in the YAGP semi-finals. In addition to YAGP, I have competed in The Spotlight Awards, and will be dancing in World Ballet Competition this coming June.

Sophie Williams - I will be competing in World Ballet Competition in June, and continuing to train until my next season starts.

Sophie Savas-Carstens - I'll be going to San Francisco Ballet's Summer Intensive, as well as competing in World Ballet Competition.

Our video:

Sophie Williams - We had a fun time sharing our love for dance, while creating lots of laughter in the process!

Danielle Esposito - I had such a great time making the video!

Sophie Savas-Carstens - It was a lot of fun! We really loved Daniil Simkin's "Simkin in the City", and we thought it would be fun to make our own! An experience I'll never forget!

Future plans:

Sophie Williams - I look forward to continuing to dance with a professional company next season, and expanding my repertoire.

Sophie Savas-Carstens - I hope to dance professionally with a Ballet Company here in the US, or somewhere abroad.
