Thank you! I am very excited to have won the Harlequin Scholarship video contest again. I am happy to say that the past couple of years have been full of personal growth. When I last won in 2015, I was preparing to enter my freshman year of college at Marymount Manhattan. I finished that year and decided to transfer to Fordham University at Lincoln Center to continue my dance major in the Fordham/Ailey BFA Program. I have now completed my Sophmore year of college and am excited to take on the adventure awaiting in my junior year at Fordham/Ailey. I strongly recommend to other dancers who plan to study dance in college to enjoy the journey and remain open to all the new things they will be learning, both in the classroom and dance studio.
My experience at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in 2015 was inspiring. I loved the program and all that it had to offer. This summer I am privileged to be attending Ballet Hispanico's Choreo Lab in NYC and Arts Umbrella Summer Intensive in Vancouver. The piece in my video is a self-choreographed piece.
