Princeton University Ballet has been featuring student choreography since it was founded in 2008. Princeton alumni also contribute to our repertoire, as with Coney Island Dream Ballet, choreographed by Eamon Foley '15.
I am Emily Avery, a dancer in Coney Island Dream Ballet, the current President of PUB, and have trained in classical ballet for the past eighteen years. This intensive ballet background is typical amongst PUB members.
PUB would like to send a huge thank you to Eamon Foley and Grind Arts Company for this incredible choreography! We are honored to have been part of this choreographic process and loved performing the final result.
As PUB continues to grow, we aim to maintain this home for collegiate ballet that is both professional and fun. We have an exciting academic year ahead with an upcoming collaboration with London's Cafe Penguin Orchestra in the re-creation of Cole Porter's Within The Quota, a ballet that has been lost in history. We also aim to maintain our involvement in the bi-annual Ivy Ballet Exchange, a collaborative performance and workshop opportunity with other ivy-league ballet companies.
